Notes:

1. Fabulous Moolah defeated Judy Grable in a tournament final. She was recognized as champion by the NWA after June Byers retired in January of 1964.

2. The WWF withdrew from the NWA in 1983 and bought the rights of the women's world titles from Moolah. The Fabulous Moolah continued to be recognized as the WWF World Women's Heavyweight Champion.

3. The Fabulous Moolah wins the title as the masked Spider Lady, then unmasks after the match.

4. The title was then vacated in 1990 and then became inactive.

5. Alundra Blayze dfeated Heidi Lee Morgan in a tournament final for the title.

6. The title was vacated in December of 1995 when Balyze was fired from the WWF. The title becameinactive in January of 1996.

7. Jacquline defeated Sable for the title.

8. Debra was defeated by Sable in an evening gown match. WWF Commissioner, Shawn Michaels, says in his view, that Debra McMichael was the winner of an evening gown match when she was stripped of the evening gown first.

9. Miss Kitty(The Kat) defeated Ivory, Jacquline, and B.B. in a four-way Evening Gown match for the title.

10. Harvina is Harvey Whippleman, a man, dressed in disguise.

11. Ivory defeated Lita, Jacquline, and Trish Stratus in a four-way match to win the title.

12. Title vacated in June of 2001 when Chyna leaves the WWE. Trish Stratus defeated Ivory, Jacquline, Jazz, Mighty Molly, and Lita in a "sixway" match to win the title.

13. Trish Stratus pinned Jazz in a mixed tag team match to win the title. The tag team match was Trish Stratus and Buh-Buh Ray Dudley vs. Jazz and Steven Richards.

14. This was a Hardcore Match for the title at Survivor Series

15. This was a Triple Threat Match at Wrestlemania XIX containing, Victoria, Jazz, and Trish Stratus

16. This was a 7 Woman Over The Top Battle Royal for the gold containing: Jazz, Victoria, Trish Stratus, Gail Kim, Molly Holly, Jacqueline, & Ivory.

17. This was a Fatal Four Way Elimination Match containing Molly Holly, Lita, Jazz, and Victoria. Lita eliminated Jazz, Victoria eliminated Molly and then Lita to win the title.

18. Trish Stratus defeated Lita, Victoria, and Gail Kim in a Four Way Match to win the title.

19. Title declared vacant the next night because this was Trish's retirement match.

20. Lita beat Mickie James in a tournament final. This was also a Cyber Sunday match where fans voted it to be a Diva Lumberjacks match. Choices were: Diva Lumberjacks, No DQ, and Submission.

21. This was Lita's retirement match.

22. Mickie James defeated Melina and Victoria in a Three-Way match to win the title.

23. Won the title at SummerSlam in an intergender tag team match also involving her partner Santino Marella and James' partner Kofi Kingston.
